Dear Pepi,
I don’t know if the people in Stuttgart sent you an invitation card and the reproduced invitation letter with the one half of your introduction. In case they haven’t – and they don’t like writing, as I have discovered – here’s a couple of copies for you. The photo is dismal, and it’s the wrong way up, and I’m afraid they mutilated the introduction and didn’t print it. Last week I received a telegram in which they asked me to send them ten graphic works ‘most urgently’. So, with heavy heart, I parted with my collection of drypoint etchings – though I’d rather have parted with three-score paintings. An artist’s progress!
I hope all’s well. Much love anyway.
Yours,
Erich
