Pip’s Plant Parlour is a travelling plant-lounge designed by sound artist Mileece for the urban environment. Visitors can step inside to restore their sense of wellbeing by interacting and relaxing in an immersive bio-responsive sound and lightscape, surrounded by delicate flowers and lush plants.
Housed within a converted vintage caravan, the Parlour is open to visitors of all ages on a drop-in basis. Visitors will be invited to interact with the plants to create unique natural and electronic soundscapes and to relax in the multi-sensory cocoon.
The installation is supported by Southwark Council and Missen Acoustic and produced by not-for-profit arts organisation Illuminate Productions. It is hosted by Tate's Community Team to support local climate and environmental issues and as part of our ongoing commitment to the mission of Culture Declares Emergency.
