Young Coders MeetUp (YCM) have curated an Open Ideas space at UAL's Uni to Unicorns events, celebrating the creative powers of the tech industries and exploring where the art world meets the tech world.
Saturday 7th March 2020
10.00 – 13.30: Former YCM participants and the public are invited to join the open ideas lab where we will be running introductory sessions on coding and physical computing. There will also be a Digital Art drop in workspace.
13.30 – 14.00: An introduction to Machine Learning (material courtesy of Happy Finish and CCI).
14.00 – 14.40: Introduction to Linear Algebra by Tolu Ogunremi Mathematics
14.50 – 17.00: Introduction to Deep Learning and PyTorch - facilitated by PyTorch Community mentor Kai who is a deep learning researcher at the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London.

Events will celebrate International Women’s Day
12.00 – 13.00: Former YCM participants and the public are invited to join the YCM open ideas lab where we will be running introductory sessions on coding and physical computing.
12.00 – 13.00: Join our young coders as they show you how to have some fun with Python and the Microbit. There will also be a Digital Art drop in workspace.
13.00 – 14.00:: Hear Ora Rammala, Consultant BI & Data Analytics (Bamboo), speak about plotting your career pathway into Data Science.
14.00 – 15.00: Hear Arpita Nigam, Global Product Manager, Bloomberg Quant Platform, speak about working in AI. This talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
15.00 – 16.00: Hear Suki Fuller, Fellow at The Council of Competitive Intelligence Fellows and Venture Capital speak about the Fifty Fifty Pledge for women in tech.
16.00 – 17.00: Join us at the end of the day to regroup and discuss the day's learnings.
