Abstract painter William T Williams gives a sneak-peak into his Manhattan and Connecticut studios

We visit abstract painter William T Williams as he works on a new piece in his Connecticut studio.

A master of brushwork and colour, Williams creates his paintings in series, working through a labour-intensive process that often includes drawings, watercolours, and prints.

Both works Power Trane, 1969 and Nu Nile, 1973 can be seen at Tate Modern during the Soul of A Nation: Art in the Name of Black Power exhibition open until 22 October 2017
