Place offerings to the altar-like sculpture Mti by Betye Saar
Tate curators and Collection Care will facilitate the addition of offerings to the altar-like sculpture Mti, 1973, by US artist Betye Saar in the collection displays. Inspired by ancestral connectedness, ritual objects and their spiritual power, Saar frequently invites audiences to engage with the work by leaving an offering, claiming that ‘Mti receives the power of accumulative personal energy’.
We welcome the contribution of small gifts, offerings, tokens, something/anything that holds meaning to you.

Listen to live music on the Level 1 Bridge
Join COLECTIVA for live music sets throughout the night. UK Latin-Jazz pioneers COLECTIVA explore the spaces between Afro-Latin music and Jazz while reflecting on themes of sisterhood and female empowerment.
Crafting thoughtful arrangements rooted in the sonorities of Africa, Latin America and the diaspora, they have taken audiences in UK, US, and Europe by storm with their explosive musicianship and charismatic performances, birthing a sound affectionately dubbed jazz tropicaliente (hot-tropical-jazz), rich in bold horn lines, jazz harmony and Afro-Latin groove.
