This new course offers the chance to improve skills in speaking, reading, writing and listening to Spanish, with a particular emphasis on conversations between participants. Led by art historian and educator Alinta Sara, each session features visits to the exhibitions and displays at Tate Modern, which will inform a range of participatory activities including role-plays, small group discussions and presentations.
The course aims to share understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures through developing language skills. The course is aimed at participants who currently have an intermediate level of Spanish (equivalent to B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Participants will be expected to have some familiarity with different tenses and everyday vocabulary. There will be a maximum of 20 places available to ensure plenty of opportunities for conversations in Spanish, and a certificate of attendance can be provided for anyone who completes the course.
