This four-week course takes Joan Jonas’s pioneering work across a range of media as a catalyst to explore different aspects of storytelling – from popular fairy tales to multi-screen film installations. Each week participants will consider the techniques and technologies involved in a particular form of storytelling, drawing on a close engagement with Jonas’s practice while drawing parallels with the work of other artists and thinkers.
Led by artist and lecturer Alexandra Antonopoulou, the course will also include the opportunity for participants to explore their own personal creative approaches to storytelling. No prior knowledge or experience are required.
