This discussion based on the encyclopaedic approach of the exhibition catalogue showcases the full evolution of Giacometti’s career across five decades. From his life in Paris to specific sculptures and works on paper, whilst exploring the subjects of sexuality, surrealism and violence, hear expanded versions of this book’s texts and essays from their authors.
Exhibition Co-Curator Lena Fritsch is joined by Mathilde Lecuyer, Associate Curator, Fondation Alberto et Annette Giacometti, alongside other catalogue contributors including; Neil Cox, Professor of Modern Art, University of Edinburgh; Nancy Ireson, Curator, International Art, Tate Modern; and Claudia Milburn, Curator at Sainsbury Centre For Visual Arts; who have responded with diverse new readings of Giacometti’s work.
