Christelle Oyiri

Christelle Oyiri (b. 1992, Paris, FR) is an artist based in Paris, where she engages in a radically interdisciplinary practice that challenges dominant narratives. Her work explores hidden connections within heterotopias and mythologies, utilizing elements of post-humanities theory, popular digital culture and humour. Focused on material research, she draws inspiration from the tonalities, textures, and visual language found in music, art, and youth cultures. She explores the connection between European fables and myths and the African diaspora. Oyiri's artwork has been featured in group exhibitions at notable venues, including Palais de Tokyo (2024), Deichtorhallen Hamburg (2024), Bard College (2024), and Centre Pompidou (2021). Additionally, she performs as a DJ and music producer under the name CRYSTALLMESS.

All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street.

There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Natalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

• Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
• A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
• Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
