'Moving black, seeing black, feeling black, black splaining'
Drawing upon her critically acclaimed show NIGHTCLUBBING, Rachael Young will guide participants to reimagine a black future beyond whiteness. Through discussions and explorative writing tasks inspired by people at the helm of the afrofuturist cultural movement - including Octavia Butler, Janelle Monae and Sun Ra - participants will produce an ode to their future selves where black femmes are the protagonists and blerds are our superheroes.
This event is part of Black Creativity & Technology with A Vibe Called Tech, a series exploring the intersections of technology, race, and creative expression.
