What makes good sex education? What should we learn? How should we learn? Why don’t we learn that much at school? And should we ever stop learning?
Hosted by Bedfellows, this public discussion will begin with Polly Haste from the Sex Education Forum leading us through some of the Forum’s research, resources and activities as well as the wider misconceptions, complications and excitations surrounding sex education. Then, in the spirit of a sex education that is lifelong, members of Bedfellows Research Group will facilitate the building of a collective curriculum, sharing something - like a text, or a conversation, a song or a scene from a film - that they’ve found has played a part in their personal ongoing sex education. People who come along will be encouraged to contribute to this collective sex education curriculum so please have a think: is there a song that taught you what you wanted to put where? Is there a film that rocked your world? Is there a text that made you question everything?
