Throughout the ages black barbers and hair salons have produced a place of refuge for their respective communities. They are spaces to communicate freely, where problems are articulated and solutions discussed. TENDERHEADED presents the experience of queer communities within these spaces through intimate storytelling. Hear the voices of multiple queer black folk earnestly discussing what it is to be black queer and British - and share your response.
Very limited haircuts available in TENDERHEADED with Kindred Kuts by appointment only from 16.00 – 21.00. Sign up in Tate Exchange.
