Join us for an exciting opportunity to hear the artist Tino Sehgal talk about his practice and the first live commission in the Unilever Series at Tate Modern. For the first time since the public opening of the work in July 2012, Sehgal together with curator Jessica Morgan discuss the Turbine Hall commission These Associations. Examining the information that Sehgal brought to the piece as well as its context within his broader body of work, he reflects on the piece thus far, the public response, and its development during the more than three month run.
Asad Raza, Producer of These Associations and Sehgal’s major work for the Guggenheim New York This Progress will discuss with Morgan the development of Sehgal’s work and the idiosyncrasies involved in constructing a work through human interaction, movement and sound. Unlike previous installations in the Turbine Hall, Sehgal’s work allows for modulation over time and this process of continuous change will also be examined.
