Join Professor Andreas Gestrich from the German historical institute, who have collaborated with Tate Liverpool in the production of the time line in the exhibition for a historical overview of Weimar Germany. Professor Gestrich will give a tour of Portraying a Nation: Germany 1919–1933, and discuss his continued interest in the period.
BIO: Andreas Gestrich is professor of modern history at Trier University (on leave). In September 2006 he was appointed director of the German Historical Institute London. His main research interests are the history of family, childhood and youth, the history of poverty and poor relief and media history in modern Europe.
