Peace of Mind is a collaborative project that sees young people take part in different creative and cultural experiences linking art, music and dance to support wellbeing in education.
Tate Exchange presents two projects that emerge from Peace of Mind:
Beyond the Score sees young women develop their own animations and accompanying sound scores relating to wellbeing and what happiness means to them. The resulting works encourage the viewer to consider the joy that can be found within our own environment and ourselves, allowing space to take stock, be mindful and be thankful.
Creating Space is a collaborative presentation of art work exploring peace and wellbeing by pupils and staff from:
Sandfield Park School
Alder Hey Hospital
Ward Teaching
Dewi Jones Unit
Alder Centre for Education
Working with:
National Museums Liverpool
Stray Cat Media
Open Eye Gallery
Curious Minds SLiCE Programme
Beyond the Score is kindly funded by Community Foundation for Merseyside, with funding from Tampon Tax Community Fund.
Peace of Mind is a collaborative project as part of the SLiCE fellowship Programme (Specialist Leader in Cultural Education) to strategically support cultural education to improve the lives of children and young people through art and culture.
