Build your own sonnet, with friends or with someone completely new in Tate Exchange Liverpool. See how poetry and play intertwine as The Windows Project invite you to construct a fourteen line poem from fourteen different books and a set of dice.
Continue the games with The Amazing Push Poem Machine and work together with your fellow amazing push-poets to add surreal, strange and wonderful words to an on-going communal poem. Throw a ball to get a letter, then add a word that starts with that letter. Take part and see how poetry can be part of the public consciousness at any time and in any place.
Established 40 years ago, The Amazing Push Poem Machine was first played on Merseyside Play Action Council playschemes in 1976. Since then, The Windows Project continues to work with communities, youth centres and schools to encourage creativity through writing.
