Join Project Art Works for a week of inclusive workshops and conversations that will promote art as a means of connection with, and for people with complex needs.
Explorers is a series of inclusive cultural actions and partnerships nationally and internationally. Its overarching artistic vision is a new sound and film work in partnership with the Forestry Commission, Tate Liverpool, artists Ben Rivers, Kate Adams, Tim Corrigan that tracks an investigation of a forest, the outdoors and wilderness in collaboration with a group of people who are highly sensitive to the stimuli of the world around them.
Neurodiverse perceptions of ‘wilderness’ provide a metaphor for discourse on cultural inclusion that is central to the wider Explorers programme of attitudinal change through art. Tate Liverpool hosts the first encounter event specific to their partnership with Project Art Works, in Tate Exchange over 7 days of evolving installation, inclusive workshops, film and sound works and conversations.
Project Artworks is an award winning, artist-led organisation that collaborates with neurodiverse communities, galleries, health and social care agencies to promote inclusion in civic and cultural life.
