For the first time in the history of the Turner Prize, the four shortlisted artists all work with moving images, employing 35mm film, multi-screen installations and digital smartphones. This special panel discussion considers the shortlist in the wider context of current practices. How are artists today using forms of film, video and digital media? What are the ethics of image-making?
Our panel includes leading curators, theorists and programmers working with moving images: Karen Alexander, Mason Leaver-Yap and Herb Shellenberger. The conversation will be chaired by Linsey Young, curator of the Turner Prize exhibition.
With an additional ticket, participants can enjoy a private view of the exhibition after the discussion.
