Story Space Read Aloud: John Agard

Meet legendary Caribbean poet, playwright and short story writer John Agard FRSL

Meet well-known Guyanese writer John Agard and hear a selection of his work for young people and families including Windrush Child, Follow that Word and When Creature met Creature.

Stay for an activity linked to John’s books and stories that encourages imagination, creativity - demonstrating the power of oration and spoken word.

Event aimed at children 5-12 years, all welcome.

This event will be BSL interpreted.

In partnership with Renaissance One, who further the art of literature, poetry and spoken word through school visits, family-friendly liming events, festivals and more

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

This event is in the Manton Studio, which is next to the ticket desk as you enter the gallery.

There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • A Changing Places toilet is not currently available.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.
