Counter forensics is where civil-society activists, communities or independent groups investigate police and military violence and their potential cover-ups. These workshops are practical and theoretical, offering both technical training in and critical reflection on the agency’s work. How can new technologies and aesthetic practices (such as architecture, coding, art, photography or film-making) become investigative tools? What are the challenges involved? What place do such practices have in an art institute?
This series is part of Forensic Architecture's exhibition, The Long Duration of a Split Second, part of the 2018 Turner Prize exhibition.
