As part of the Together Coalition ‘Thank you’ project we want to bring everyone together from friends, family, neighbours and communities, to say thank you to each other.
How? By creating special strings of bunting!
We’ll be decorating Tate Britain with bunting made by schoolchildren. Families are invited over the half-term school holiday to join our free drop-in workshops to add to our vibrant bunting decorations. You will be able to make yours using paper-based crafts, symbols and patterns. We want you to get creative, taking inspiration from the artwork in Tate’s Collection for your bunting.
This is our way of saying a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us at Tate, as well as celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
You can decide whether to leave your bunting at Tate or take it home – you might even decide to give it to that special someone in your life. It’s up to you.
Activity packs for schools can be found online at thankyouday.org.uk, including a guide for creating your own bunting.
