Frank Bowling is a Guyana-born British artist known for constantly pushing the possibilities of paint and for his innovative approach to colour. The exhibition brings together a lifetime of large-scale artworks. It includes key series such as the iconic 'map paintings', the visually arresting ‘poured paintings’, all the way to more mature work produced in recent years.
The tour is led by Sam McGuire, Assistant Curator of Interpretation, and Laura Castagnini, Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary British Art, at Tate.
Chairs and hearing support equipment will be provided. Sighted companions and guide dogs are welcome.
