Jack Hazan’s film A Bigger Splash 1974 merged fiction and documentary to convey the inner life of David Hockney, one of Britain’s most celebrated artists. The film has inspired the likes of Scorcese and more than 40 years on, Hazan talks about the work and the echoes in filmmaking today.
