Blind and partially sighted visitors and companions are invited to join us for an audio described tour of how Sir Henry Tate founded and curated the original Tate Gallery at the end of the 19th Century. We will describe paintings from his original hang and will be able to touch two bronze sculptures wearing gloves which will be provided.
Audio description will be by Gill Cutbill and Marcus Dickey Horley. Chairs and hearing support equipment will be provided. Sighted companions and guide dogs are welcome.
Please arrive at any time between 10.15-10.50. Hosts will be at the doors when you arrive to guide you to the meeting point. No booking required.
