Join contemporary artist Gerard Byrne to hear about his work in relation to the Ruin Lust exhibition. Byrne’s installation 1984 and Beyond restages a conversation, first published in Playboy magazine in 1963, in which science-fiction writers imagine urban life and global politics in the future. In this talk Byrne discusses his work and interest in notions of modern ruin with Tate Britain director, Penelope Curtis.
