Sadie Plant
Sadie Plant is a writer based in Birmingham. She has a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Manchester, and is the author of The Most Radical Gesture (Routledge 1992), Zeros and Ones (Fourth Estate 1997), and Writing on Drugs (Faber and Faber 1999). She was Lecturer in Cultural Studies at the University of Birmingham 1990-1995, and Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Warwick until 1997. Since then she has worked independently, pursuing several research projects including On the Mobile, a report into the cultural impact of the mobile phone which was published in 2001. She continues to explore a wide range of interests in her writing and research, and also enjoys some involvement with Ikon gallery, Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, and Stan's Cafe Theatre Company.
