Andrew Morgan - Electronics   

After completing his first degree at De Paul University in Chicago, Andrew Morgan continued his studies as Composition Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music. Collaborations have included the Ken Vandermark, BBC Singers, The National Theatre and the London Sinfonietta, who recently performed Catalyst at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Morgan's works have been performed in the U.S.A., Canada and the UK. He has written for a large range of ensembles and instruments from solo harpsichord to full orchestra, electronics to free jazz ensemble. Ongoing collaborations with visual artist and film maker Chris Ruffatto have produced works ranging from Sit Quietly, for interactive video and large ensemble, to gallery installations. Future projects include a commission from the Neubrandenburger Philharmoniker and feature length film collaboration with Ruffatto. In addition to composing, Morgan performs with many groups exploring new classical music, out-jazz, free improvisation and improvised electronics.
