Eadweard Muybridge is renowned as a pioneer photographer, scientist and inventor of the zoopraxiscope which he used to project his images to create the illusion of movement. To coincide with the publication of her biography Eadweard Muybridge published by Reaktion Press, Marta Braun, Professor at Ryerson University, Toronto and Honorary Visiting Professor at Kingston University, London, examines Muybridge’s people, taking an in depth look at the models who posed for his locomotion capture.
