The principal view, taken from the Leopoldsberg, shows the Danube valley and Vienna in the distance at right. A second view taken from the Vienna Woods near Grinzing is depicted parallel to the gutter of the sketchbook, orientated inversely to the view taken from the Leopoldsberg. Turner has inscribed ‘Grinzing [...]’ below it.
