This sketch is part of a view of Vienna taken from the heights at Grinzing (inscribed ‘Ginzing’). The view is in three instalments and continues from the folio opposite (Tate D31433; Turner Bequest CCCXI 9a). Grinzing parish church can be seen in the foreground at left.
