This view was taken from the east pavilion of Vienna’s Upper Belvedere, looking across the gardens in the direction of the Karlskirche at right. Spinxes can be seen in the foreground.
A baroque church tower inscribed ‘En[...]’ is depicted with the sketchbook turned in accordance with the foliation.
