With the sketchbook turned upside down relative to the foliation, Turner depicts hills on the Danube and views of Wallsee Castle (inscribed ‘Walsee’ and ‘[...] Vassee’). Hills on the Danube are also recorded in the sketch running parallel to the gutter of the book. The view inscribed ‘Neuberg’ could refer to the town of Neustadtl an der Donau.
