In five sketches Turner depicts the Danube between Steyregg and the junction of that river with the Enns. Three views are orientated horizontally, with two orientated vertically at left. The town of Enns can be seen in three of the views, and most clearly in the central horizontal view inscribed ‘Eisen’ for Enns. Enns Belfry (or Stadtturm), the Church of St Marien and Basilica of St Laurence are visible. A boat carrying passengers appears in one of the views orientated vertically at left.
