In the uppermost view Turner pictures the Kapuzinerberg at Salzburg from a southerly perspective. A bend in the Salzach can be seen at left, with the circuit wall and turrets of the Kapuzinerberg’s old fortifications suggested roughly to the immediate top right of the river.
