The principal view shows boats on the Danube around Krems, Austria, with Göttweig Abbey in the distance. Above are separate sketches of various rowing boats and riverboats with long oars. The inscriptions ‘Danube’ and ‘Horses’ are associated with sketches on the folio opposite (Tate D41223).
