The drawing was made with the page turned horizontally. In the context of the sequence of topographical views on adjacent pages, the rapidly rendered vessels here are presumably moored in the Bacino. Beyond to the left appears to be a shallow roof at the end of a horizontal line which likely indicates waterfront buildings.
