This loose drawing was made with the page turned horizontally. It seems to show the old wooden east pier beside the harbour channel at Ostend, with a beacon at its seaward end; the structure is drawn in detail on folio 15 verso (D30486; CCCIII 14a). See also folios 8 recto and verso (D30474–D30475).
