This rough sketch shows a street in a town with a church in the middle distance and mountains at right. Turner may be depicting Elbogen, a town in Bohemia which is now modern day Loket in the Czech Republic (see Tate D30743–D30744; Turner Bequest CCCIV 59a–60).
