The sketch rendered horizontally across the page shows Stettin from the River Oder. At right is a rough jotting of a boat with figures in a coastal or river landscape, which extends onto the folio opposite (Tate D31099; Turner Bequest CCCVII 41a). ‘RRP’ is inscribed next to the boat.
