Here Turner depicts the hills around Teplitz, modern day Teplice, in the Czech Republic. The central peak resembles those formations found in the Central Bohemian Uplands. The artist has inscribed the drawing ‘Tep looking towards Prag’, i.e. ‘Teplitz looking towards Prague’.
