Turner’s slight unidentified sketch here was not noted by Finberg.1
This paste-down bears the endorsement of the Executors of the Turner Bequest, Charles Turner, Charles Lock Eastlake and John Prescott Knight, in ink ‘No 227 | 88 Leaves some in Color in Pencl [sic] & Chalk | C Turner’ and in pencil ‘C.L.E.’ and ‘JPK’ at the top left. Below this it is also inscribed by the British Museum curator Arthur Magyer Hind in pencil: ‘Binding repaired March 31, 1932 | AMH’.
