The subject is continued on folio 6 verso opposite (D03981); it may be a further stage in the drama recorded on the two previous openings (folios 5 recto, 5 verso–6 recto; D03978–D03980). Here the boat has been partly righted, preparatory to its being hauled on to the beach, as in drawing on folios 7 verso–8 recto (D03983–D03984).
