With the sketchbook turned horizontally, Turner filled much of this page with a study of the western façade of the Church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris. A perspective view down the rue Saint-Sulpice is included on the left-hand side of the page. Despite the apparent interest which Turner has shown in the ornamentation of this edifice, the volume contains no further sketches on the subject.
