This little sheet, which has much in common both stylistically and in terms of palette with a view probably showing the Kent coast (Tate D00701, Turner Bequest XXVIII P), may have been painted at much the same time and place, at or near Margate.
Technical notes:
The subject is painted within an unmarked white border, approximately 3 mm wide, on the left and right sides and at the bottom.
