Used horizontally, this page may be linked with D02201 (Turner Bequest XLVII 24), and the two subjects drawn on the same journey. It is possible that the view here is in the neighbourhood of Fonthill.
Technical notes:
The shorter dimensions of most of the leaves from the disbound Fonthill sketchbook vary a little around the 330 mm mark, but the present sheet appears to have been considerably reduced at the top, as its height is only 254 mm.
