The drawing was made with the page turned horizontally. There is a more elaborate version of this view with some watercolour in the contemporary Hereford Court sketchbook (Tate D01330; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 76). Other sketches of Llyn Cwellyn are on the rectos of folios 27–29 (D01382–D01384) of the present book.
