In contrast to the detailed drawing of St Peter’s Church on the opposite folio (Tate D28045; Turner Bequest CCLXXXVII 2 a), Turner has produced a summary outline of the profile of part of the same building here. There is an inscription relating to colouring: ‘B[?lue] Sky [...] Black Walls’.
