A.J. Finberg, A Complete Inventory of the Drawings of the Turner Bequest, London 1909, vol.I, p.70, XXXIV 16, as ‘A nearer view of Kirstall Abbey, with reflections in river in foreground. The water colour based on this drawing is now in possession of the Rev. E. S. Dewick. It is said to have come from the collection of the Earl of Harewood’.
