This page contains three sketches, drawn with the page upright:

i. (top) A view along the Maurienne Valley closed by very sharp peaks, with a large building – possibly a factory – to the left. This might be the view from near Bramans down the valley to the Pointe des Sarasins.
ii. The view along a relatively wide stretch of the Maurienne Valley, curving gently left, with a large mountain to the right falling precipitously to the valley floor; possibly the Dent Parrachée or Pointe Renod.
iii. A view along the River ‘Arce’ [Arc] with a relatively straight stretch of road, and flat valley floor, perhaps with a church on rising ground in the left distance
