With the sketchbook orientated in accordance with the foliation there is a continuation of the rough sketches of cliffs from folio 12 verso opposite (D35357). There are also summary notations of clouds or perhaps wave formations in pencil and chalk. Some of these chalk jottings extend onto the pencil sketches of cliffs. A circle solidly filled in with white chalk at the centre towards the gutter of the sketchbook is likely to represent the sun.
